George Newstedt

President and COO

“The most rewarding part of my job is working with clients to design and implement unique solutions to their business challenges.”

He has collaborated with the United States Postal Service to help develop more efficient practices. George contributed to the concept and design of USPS Mail Processing Total Quality Management Program, and then spearheaded a similar program internally, making Excalibur the 9th company in the country to gain USPS Quality Certification.

 

George’s solid background in business is a valuable asset. His degree in business administration from Wake Forest University and 10 years experience at Wachovia Bank with responsibilities to grow business give George a keen understanding of what it takes to achieve results.

 

Scott Rempe

Scott has a long record of success in sales, marketing and management. He previously served as Vice President of Sales for Graphic Visual Solutions, Greensboro, N.C. Prior to that he was Direct Mail Marketing Manager for BB&T, and Director of Marketing and Customer Development with Coleman Resources in Greensboro.

 

A graduate of Clemson University, where he received a B.S. Degree in Graphic Communications, Scott is also a graduate of the BB&T Banking School at Wake Forest University. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors at The Enrichment Center in Winston-Salem, and is a volunteer artist at Brenner Children’s Hospital’s “Arts for Life” program

 

 

 

 

John Loftis

John brings over 40 years of experience to Excalibur having joined Wallace Business Forms (now RR Donnelley) fresh out of college.  He moved through the sales ranks to become District Manager over the state of Virginia before founding The Innovative Group in 1983.

As president of The Innovative Group he was active in the industry at the national level, serving on the Board of Directors and as president of the Print Services & Distribution Association.  Under his leadership The Innovative Group became one of the print distributor organizations at the front of the move to digital technology and the ability to blend print, digital and data management with direct marketing to drive better results for clients.

 

John’s broad experience across many different industries and technologies make a strong addition to the services Excalibur can offer its clients.

 

John is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He is married with two children, both now also married.  He is an elder in the Presbyterian Church and currently serves as President of the Old Hickory Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

 

 

Stephanie Newstedt

Stephanie has been with Excalibur for more than 10 years. Stephanie enjoys interacting with Excalibur’s for-profit and nonprofit organizations throughout the Southeast. She places a high value on excellent customer service.

 

Prior to joining the Excalibur team, Stephanie’s career placed her in strategic positions that drew on her high-touch people skills, which Excalibur clients value today. She worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, where she helped onboard new executives, and served a local real estate firm as their relocation manager, introducing key executives to the area as their initial point of contact.

 

Diana Borgstrom

Diana earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Caldwell University in New Jersey and spent many years in visual merchandising for both R.H. Macy’s and Bonwitt Teller in New York City prior to entering into the promotional products and business supply industry as a customer service and sales representative.  Diana is also an active member of: PPAI- Professional Products Association International, ASI - Advertising Specially Institute and CAAMP - Carolina Association of Advertising & Marketing Professionals.

 

 

 

Mike Allred

With more than 34 years in direct mail, marketing and printing, Mike brings significant expertise in data processing and mail to Excalibur’s clients. He has built several proprietary systems to manage custom data needs and is highly skilled in mail preparation and address hygiene and analysis processes, including merge and purge, National Change of Address (NCOA), Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) and data mining.

 

Prior to joining the firm’s leadership team, he had his own direct mail and data management company, Allred Mail Services, and served as manager of Mail Sort/Winston-Salem, one of the first presort bureaus in the country.

Randy Boger

VP, Operations

With more than 24 years of experience in the direct mail industry, Randy manages all aspects of Excalibur’s production operations. Responsible for customer, vendor and U.S. Postal Service logistics, Randy oversees Excalibur’s Mail Processing Center, Fulfillment Center, warehouses and transportation network.

 

Prior to joining Excalibur, he worked as a warehouse manager for sporting goods retailer Bocock-Stroud and Group Store Manager for Acme Inc.’s convenience stores. Randy holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from Western Carolina University.

 

Bill Hudgins

Digital Specialist

“It is a rewarding experience to play an integral part in achieving the desired outcome of our clients. Ultimately, my hope would be that they are pleased enough with the outcome that they tell someone else.”

Bill is a highly personable print procurement professional with over 40 years of diverse experience in account management, technical consulting, order entry, scheduling, and print production management within the printing industry. He is also proficient in a number of Adobe applications used for design both graphically as well as in the web design/development environment.

 

Earlier in his experience in the industry he was the owner of General Printing Incorporated in Clemmons, North Carolina for 14 years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ashley Thomas

As of May 2016, Ashley is our newest member of Excalibur’s CSR team. She comes to us with 15+ years of experience in the mailing industry. She brings a unique perspective to Excalibur having spent her life growing up in and around the mailing industry through her family’s local business, Scann Sort, Inc. Ashley has witnessed many ups and downs of the direct mail industry. She has experienced first-hand the ever-changing rules and regulations of the United States Postal Service.

 

Ashley has worked as both an account representative and a production manager. Her experience in these fields along with her in-depth knowledge of USPS postal regulations helps her guide clients effortlessly through every step of their direct mail project. She knows what works well through the direct mail stream and is eager to guide clients to make positive and effective choices for their important projects.

Belinda Dangerfield

Customer Service Representative

Belinda comes to Excalibur after 18 years with The Innovative Group where she specialized in office operations, vertical market sales and customer service.  She has extensive office operations experience in many environments.  She was a licensed realtor in Virginia and studied at Mercer College in NJ, where she earned the MS Office automation accreditation, and is a Microsoft Excel expert in reporting, filtering and data management.  Prior work experience includes Covance, Inc., Heidelberg USA, Princeton Chiropractic, PPI, Inc. a box manufacturer, and Moore Business Forms. Through the years, Belinda has been responsible for managing small businesses for owners and has been on 10 to 50+ person teams supporting clients.  She loves to be the go-to person for clients and team members.

 

She is a previous member of Lions International, Antique Automobile Club of America and Shelby Cobra Mustang Club.  Belinda is an avid reader and loves autos.  Belinda and Bill have been married for nearly 40 years; have 2 daughters and four grandchildren that she loves to spoil.

Laura Williams

Laura Williams comes to Excalibur from The Innovative Group with a long tenure in the printing and publishing industry.   She has project management and design consultant experience, and enjoys being hands-on while delivering client-focused solutions.  Serving as a liaison between production and client, Laura has the ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.

 

A Winston-Salem native, Laura earned her degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, is a certified adult literacy tutor, active in animal rescue and enjoys reading-especially works by Southern women writers.

 

 

 

Tracey McNeill

Tracey has provided excellent account service and production coordination for Excalibur’s clients for more than 14 years. Her exceptional attention to detail keeps clients’ projects on track to help meet time-sensitive deadlines. Tracey closely monitors changes in USPS regulations to ensure that Excalibur’s clients receive deep postage savings, fast job processing and speedy and accurate delivery through the postal system.

 

Prior to joining the Excalibur team, Tracey worked in the printing industry for 23 years. She has a wealth of experience from her roles as a quality control manager, proofing supervisor, and customer service representative.

 

Janie Wilson

Janie is Excalibur Direct Marketing’s chief executive for human resources, legal, financial, risk management, purchasing and contract administration.  In addition, she serves as president of Excalibur Presort Service, an affiliate of the firm, that serves corporate and institutional clients throughout North Carolina.

 

With more than 40 years experience in the direct marketing field, Janie is a member of Idealliance, an industry advocacy association for the printing, imaging and mailing communities, and served on the Government Affairs Committee of its legacy organization. She was featured as a visible symbol of the association’s national marketing campaign to promote women’s leadership and professionalism in the direct marketing industry.

 

A graduate of Salem Academy, the Paralegal Institute in New York City and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Janie is actively engaged in community and civic affairs.  As an example, she was the founding director of The Women’s Fund of Winston-Salem, in 2005, which seeks to improve life and future opportunities of women and young girls.

 

Barbara Waller

VP Marketing Services

“I build tight relationships with my client contact. On some projects, we are in communication constantly. But then others say, “Just make it happen and let me know when it ships!”

With more than 38 years in the direct mail, marketing and printing industry, Barbara is Excalibur’s client solutions expert to provide clients with the highest quality in service. She is responsible for all client-facing internal departments, including data, production and billing, as well as the company’s management information system that tracks client estimates, pricing, costs, production scheduling and client contact data. In addition, she serves as daily liaison to all client-facing external suppliers, including the U.S. Postal Service.

 

Prior to joining Excalibur, Barbara was an account executive at Long Haymes Carr Advertising (now Mullen). A member of the agency’s Direct Response Unit, she was responsible for providing quality account services on all aspects of Wachovia’s (now Wells Fargo) direct mail, including creative development, budgeting, print production, and postal services.
