Starting from Scratch: iCan House Exceeds Fundraising Goals Using Excalibur as Virtual Development Department
A newly-formed nonprofit that helps individuals with social challenges couldn’t afford a full-time development director. Excalibur was called in to create and launch a comprehensive development program, including applying for grants; setting up a donor database management system; identifying donor segments and prospects; and holding an annual fundraising event to meet aggressive fundraising goals.

The Excalibur Outcome
The iCan House’s first annual luncheon, the iCan Do Lunch, attracted a sold out audience and exceeded its fundraising goal of $30,000. Bolstered by the overwhelming response to this inaugural community event, the following year iCan House increased its goals for attendance and net dollars raised to $50,000 and met them successfully.
